Plenty going on; banana and coconut cream, pear drops and peach, white chocolate, but then also hand churned butter, coppers from your trouser pocket. On the palate tropical insanity with exotic fruits like sweet, juicy and tangy mangosteen, but also a good heat of Thai chicken wings with a chilli-peanut sauce – intrigued? We thought it took water very well but still a hotchpotch of aromas - stewed rhubarb, boiling toffee, lavender, sweet pinesap, cloves and capers. To taste we thought that the tropics had been expanded to include the southern Highlands of Scotland with a variation of a rum baba which we baptised it ‘Balmaha baba’.
