Tasting Notes
We felt this one nosed like some kind of waxy swimming pool, if such a thing can be imagined. We also got ointments, laundered fabrics, dried flowers, buttered oatcakes and an earthy, fragile background smoky note. With water this developed very nicely with medicinal herbs, eucalyptus, myrtle, wintergreen and heather flowers – becoming more classically rich and 'Highland'. The palate was subtly waxy, with mineral oils, camphor, and a lovely, easy fatness and mouth-coating texture on display. With water it remained very rich and well rounded, with peppery and waxy notes, flinty mineral aspects and a touch of sweetness, plus white stone fruits.
