Tasting Notes
The nose offered us a clear window onto this classic full bodied distillate with big notes of fatty waxes, cooking oils, herbal ointments and nettle tea with a spoonful of cough syrup. Reduction evolved things towards tropical fruit acids, pickled ginger, resinous exotic woods and medicinal notes. The palate was woefully fat in texture with green herbs, medicines, fermented mango and plum eau de vie. Some water brought icing sugar on breakfast cereals, medicinal waxiness, hessian, baked apple and more exotic fruit esters.
