A sweet and floral scent awakened us to raindrops falling on cherry blossom and cornfields, before kicking dust onto hidden wild strawberries as the drops splashed onto the ground. Sugary notes then appeared of sticky jam and honeycomb combined with creamy fresh milk. On the palate came apple strudel covered with maple syrup and drizzled with brown sugar, fresh ginger and crushed biscuits. With water the cherry blossom trees had grown into an entire orchard and joined sweet peas, vanilla and sugared almonds. Banana and coconut now appeared with buttery shortbread with vanilla ice cream before trifle and strong black tea converged on the finish.
