Tasting Notes
The nose starts on a high note, with wonderful floral overtones and the lighter side of wine gums. The oak and spirit tangle in perfect harmony. A little time reveals quince jelly and delicate notes of elderflower honey. From the oak, fine tannins, gentle polish notes and perhaps some red apple skins. A splash of water hightens the senses and transports us to a hothouse jam packed with exotic flowers, maybe some of them even bear fruit. One panellist was reminded of petrichor on a holiday to Madeira. This should be savoured over a long period of time. It has many a twist and turn but always remains in perfect balance.
