Tasting Notes
Toffees and orange blossom tumbled passed our noses, dropping into tinned peaches spiked with mace, anise and honeysuckle. We tasted sugar snap peas, toffee sauce-dipped wild fennel, pineapples and peanuts. Water served a slice of madeira cake on the nose, with clotted cream on sticky ginger cake and huckleberry taffy to follow. To taste, we now found a dram with less sweetness upfront, but full of cedarwood shavings, nutmeg and pineapple iced tea served in gigantic peanut shells.
