One panellist was in an ice-cream van, another at the dentists – well, diversity comes from complexity – we also got lemon curd, coconut, brandy snaps and red fruits. The palate evoked cola cubes, wild flowers and bubble gum with lemon zest and Turkish coffee to finish. On the reduced nose, the ice-cream van prevailed – now parked by the beach on a hot day, serving ice-cream cones with toasted nuts and raspberry sauce, lemon and lime ice-lollies, flying saucers and popping candy. The palate now had sweet and sour plum sauce, spiced apples and barley sugars, with Thai spice, teak and hessian on the finish.
