Tasting Notes
This one opened with a robust and pure maltiness. Lots of malt extract, lemon icing, a warm Softmint, treacle and a lot of lemon and orange peel. Some grassiness and ripe yellow plums in the mix too. With reduction came malted milkshake, chewy strawberry sweetness, kiwi, lime and nettle leaf. Some Highland toffee softened in a warm pocket. Also gingerbread with vanilla icing. The palate was wonderfully chewy and satisfying in texture. Sponge cake with buttermilk icing, floral, white pepper and zesty citrus freshness. Water brought golden shortbread and other home baking vibes. Kumquats, quince jelly and heather honey with gingery warmth.
