Tasting Notes
Our noses detected crushed blackcurrants on a bed of salt crystals being smothered with toffee sauce, while the palate experienced cinnamon raisin toast with lashings of butter, freshly squeezed orange juice and a splash of Grenada's finest illicit rum punch. With the introduction of water, we were served tart raspberries, alpine butter and cut grass to the nose. The reduced palate now found pears poached in 80 shilling ale and treacle, covered in double cream and, again, freshly squeezed orange juice – plus a side of salted peanuts mixed with cloves.
