Heady aromas of pear drops and green grapes washed over tinned pineapple and mandarin in a sweet syrup while heavier notes of tobacco leaves, coconut oil and nuts began to emerge. A spicy palate arrived with fudge and caramel on juicy fruits and menthol notes that merged with beeswax and fennel seeds. With water baked apples arrived with traditional lemonade and complex tropical fruits that developed into oaky chardonnay wine. Fresh apricots and mango now joined bitter marmalade and cinnamon on lemon skins and cherries while on the finish came strong green tea with clotted cream and pine sap.
