We imagined walking in the Grampian mountain range just beneath the snowline with spring having sprung in the valley and the associating smell of new life emerging while higher up winter has still got a tight grip on nature. We sat down enjoying the first rays of warming sunshine greeting them with a liqueur called Galliano bursting with Mediterranean anise, juniper berries, musk yarrow, lavender and peppermint. A drop of fresh mountain spring water and juicy vanilla notes came to the fore alongside sweet floral notes while on the palate soothing sweet coconut lime shortbread cookies served with peppermint whipped cream.
