Tasting Notes
Fresh aromas of green apples, gooseberries and kiwi fruit joined honey, sandalwood and the lavender fragrance of washed linen drying in the sunshine. Flavours were spicy in the mouth as wasabi and rocket salad were served with black peppercorns and carnations before sweet notes of toasted marshmallows combined with melon, toffee and a squeeze of lime juice. A few drops of water unveiled lemon jelly and kaffir lime with tart pineapple, coconut husk and nutmeg sprinkled on hazelnuts and yoghurt. The taste was now much milder, with dark chocolate digestive biscuits, cinnamon, liquorice and rice cakes dipped in chocolate and oak sawdust.
