Tasting Notes
Against a stunning backdrop of doughnut hills topped with a dusting of cinnamon, and rivers of dark chocolate ganache, we broke apart some warm rye bread and poured a glass of old calvados. The sweet notes of baked apples rolled in, bobbing gently across a calm lake of mulled cider. After a dash of water we strolled higher into the mountains, amid peaks of honeycomb and cinnamon rolls. Soft vanilla cream pastries tumbled past, kicking up fragrant dust from witch hazel before colliding with flaked almond tarts. Finally, a shower of cloudy apple juice brought a lively zing that counterbalanced the rich sweetness of salted caramel, cinnamon swirls and liquorice-infused morello cherry jam.
