Tasting Notes
The neat nose suggested varnished sandalwood, bitter citrus piths, hessian, cooling oils and pineapple jelly. We also got freshly made tablet, honeycomb and crushed macadamia nuts. With reduction it displayed more mineral oils, shoe polish, malt syrup and barley sugars, plus some American cream soda and golden syrup. The palate opened with a lovely oily and waxy texture. Flavours of sweetened breakfast cereals, fruit salad juices, white fruit teas and then camphory and citric notes. With water we found lemon cough drops, candied hazelnuts, pink wafer biscuits and yellow fruit jams.
