Summery aromas of lush meadows and green grass merged with sweetly scented jasmine flowers as lemon and grapefruit brought a citrus twist. Fruity notes then developed into pineapple, melon and strawberry before vanilla suggested chocolate and custard. A spicy palate brought sweet chilli sauce alongside intense fruit reminiscent of strawberry jam, apricot liqueur and orange marmalade. With water we found underripe fruit and tomato plants in a greenhouse with earthy notes of parsnips in hessian sacks. The lemons had now been roasted in a fire and while grassy notes remained, they were balanced by marzipan, pineapple and vanilla. On the finish came rich flavours of espresso coffee and dark chocolate with a touch of menthol at the end.
