There was an immediate and comforting sense of richness and texture about this nose. We got chamois leather, linoleum, putty and things like rum & raisin fudge and nut butter. Reduction offered us sunflower oil, hand cream, strong green tea and vanilla soda. In the mouth we found youthful calvados, cider apples, melon liqueur and cough mixtures. Some softer notes of bailed hay and light waxes too. The reduced palate was more complex and subtle with bergamot, lemon cough drops, herbal teas, orange vitamin tablets, fig paste and fruit scone mix.
