Tasting Notes

The nose meandered from lemon drops and orange ice lollies to honey, vanilla, toffee chews and coffee cake, ending up in a garden shed. The neat palate, lively as a ferret, produced lemon peel, honey, rice wine vinegar and yeasty wheat twirls dipped in wasabi, alongside florentines, green tea and a finish of ginger, nutmeg and liquorice root. The reduced nose had cola cubes, tobacco leaf, chalk and a hot fudge sundae with ice cream, maraschino cherries and chopped nuts. The palate now had doughnuts, treacle pudding, choc-chip cookies and coffee, with a slightly mouth-drawing finish of citrus zest, sour gums and green wood.
