A zingy and salty lemon aroma like in a well-made margarita cocktail transported us to the Playa el Salado in Cuba with the saltiest sea water! Not that we expected to drink it, yet when we dived into the ocean, we couldn’t help but swallow some and in combination with the juicy fruit bonbon we were sucking, the experience was sweet and salty. Diluted we kept the salty theme, but now we made a pineapple carpaccio with a ginger, mint, lime and chilli dressing with a smattering of Maldon salt flakes and for dessert, we had a salty lemon coconut cheesecake all washed down with a glass of Bellini.
