Aromas characterised by 'red' suggested strawberry sweets, red roses, red apples and tomato plants against a backdrop of Turkish delight, fruity trifle and coconut cream. The palate introduced the spiciness of ginger, cinnamon and turmeric paste with hints of charred cask and burnt toast with strawberry jam. A dash of water delivered unctuous melon and gooseberry crumble with pine nuts and sesame seeds. Orange blossom now mixed with cumin, fennel and nutmeg while waxy apples introduced delightful textures. Fresh cereals and grassy flavours coated plums and cola as the spices embraced garam masala before tree bark and mahogany created fine tannins on the finish.
