Tasting Notes
On the nose neat we were offered a rich chocolate cake filled with white chocolate mousse and a cherry sauce. That all changed dramatically on the palate as we chewed a Fisherman’s Friend extra strong, spicy mandarin flavoured menthol cough suppressant lozenges - it opened the airways without a doubt. As we all reached desperately for the water the aroma was that of old-fashioned boiled sweets like pear drops, aniseed balls and bullseyes mint sweets, while to taste now ‘as gentle as a lamb’. Raspberry peach bubble tea and creamed coconut were followed in the finish by a delightful kiwi raita; a cool, creamy yoghurt sauce with cumin, coriander, and black mustard seeds.
