Tasting Notes
The nose hinted at sweet delights (candyfloss, honey, nougat, jammy Swiss roll); we also got freshly oiled teak, Camp coffee and memories of strolling through the fruit and flower markets of Funchal. On the delicious palate - tropical fruits and floral perfumes mingled with barley sugar sweetness, pencil shavings, putty and coffee grinds. The reduced nose found savannah grasslands and white pepper, American cream soda and chocolate limes while evoking ‘midnight in the perfumed garden’. The palate was chewy and flavoursome – coconut-covered confectionery, glacé cherries and pistachio biscotti mingled with gorgeous wood flavours and sun-drenched agrodolce of peppers and zucchini.
