The neat nose suggested to us lemon lozenges, runny honey and the spicy warmth of cask char. Robust and giving the impression of being densely textured. With water we found it became more floral and soft, with fruity pink peppercorns, vanilla cream soda and marshmallow. The palate opened with barley sugars, candy floss and nice earthy dunnage warehouse richness. Also noted was lemon meringue and custard. With water a lovely, juicy fruitiness emerged, along with vanilla icing, coriander seeds and lime curd.
