A fresh and sunshine drenched fragrance summoned images of flowering gorse bushes, brambles and ferns in lush woodland before a playful spice brought mulled wine and ginger biscuits to our attention. Salted butter and coconut oil then coated bananas, satsumas and caramel while the tongue entertained a merry dance of pickled peppers, cinnamon buns and rhubarb with apple sherbet. The light oils of linseed and walnut remained after a dash of water but were now joined by honey, lemons and pineapple. A fragrant dash of rhubarb and rose petals combined with white chocolate as we advanced to a viscous finish bound by raspberry coulis, honeycomb and frozen clotted cream.
