Tasting Notes
The aroma reminded us of sticky dates topped with a sprinkling of dark chocolate and sea salt, plus candied almonds, caramel sauce and milk chocolate tea cakes. A spicy tingle to start with on the palate delivered white peppercorns and sea buckthorn tartlets before sweeter notes arrived in the form of sweet and spicy Chinese chicken with toasted cashew nuts, as well as apricot frangipane tart. Following dilution the scent was surprisingly fresh and floral, with aromas coming from eucalyptus, orchids and lilacs. To taste, olive oil cake with honey syrup was accompanied by vanilla ice cream and apricots.
