Tasting Notes
A neat nose suggested to us lemon and pineapple jelly. Overripe green and orchard fruits, then baked apples with cinnamon and hints of kumquat and mineral oil. Beyond that it became very fragrant, lots of sandalwood, sunflower seeds and beautifully gentle waxy tones. Water brought fun impressions of banana fritters, fruity wheat beers, coconut and mango panna cotta. The palate initially was rather lean and delicately leafy. Some lovely feelings of petrichor and mossy bark. Then rolling tobacco, new leather, pepper, cut grass and vase water. Pretty 'old style' we all agreed. Reduction again made things more playful with notes of teacakes, kiwi, chopped hazelnuts and fruit pastilles.
