Tasting Notes
A pronounced nose of mango chutney, ginger biscuits and desiccated coconut morphed with time into the soft aromas of peach yoghurt, buttery shortbread biscuits and milk chocolate. The palate was sweet and juicy, as lychees, melon and strawberry tarts joined runny honey on almond cake and vanilla sponge. With a few drops of water came prickly white pepper alongside heightened vanilla, now in the form of butter icing with brandy-soaked fruit trifle plus passion fruit and gooseberry tarts. Creamy flavours now complemented flambeed banana, mango and hazelnut spread. Powdered custard then coated orange skin and lime before pink grapefruit appeared on the finish.
