Perfumed fruits and cherry blossoms

The first sniff gave us an array of sweet treats – salted caramel fudge, sticky toffee pudding and custard doughnuts, followed by a secondary subtle floral component of dried flowers and a Christmas wreath. On the palate, the liveliness of a fresh bellini or grapefruit set the scene for a cascade of other fruits – melon, lemon drizzle cake, blackcurrant, custard apple and white port, with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg in the finish. After reduction, the nose found cherry blossoms and apricot danish pastries on polished furniture, while the palate discovered more perfumed fruits: mango, candied orange, dried papaya and lemon meringue pie.
