Playful and teasing

A playful nose – wedding cake, bucks fizz and melon boats, then a jogger runs past, wearing perfume and new trainers and chewing bubblegum. The palate starts with craft cola, glacé cherries and vanilla, but the playfulness becomes more spice-driven – Oddfellows, root beer, cinnamon apple crumble and clove. The reduced nose has candied orange and lemon slices, Edinburgh rock, ripe fig drizzled with balsamic and a new tweed jacket with a hint of cigar smoke. The reduced palate has a teasing (still playful) mouthfeel – grape skins, fruit leathers, gooseberry jam; easy on the water though.
