A firm and fulsome aroma to begin, with waxes, eucalyptus balms, elderberries and then subtle notes of sandalwood, lemon barley water and new leather shoes. Easy going and highly pleasurable. Reduction brought bailed hay, pressed cider apples, honeydew melon and dried notes of talcum powder, oak furniture and lanolin. The palate when neat opened with pollens, elderflower cordial, lemon meringue pie and the warmth of cinnamon boiled sweets. Beyond that the impression of some firm old school shilling ale notes. Water brought brighter fruits in the form of wild strawberries, vim, orange travel sweets and lemon jelly. Some earthy turmeric in the aftertaste.
