Tasting Notes
A gorgeously 'complete' and old-style profile we agreed at first nosing, with lots of bubblegum, fir sap, banana split, lemon posset, crystallised exotic fruits, mango pulp and hessian. Extremely classy and elegant. With water we noted charred pineapple, heather flowers, spiced olive oil cake, myrtle, shilling ales and intricate herbal ointments with a tang of beeswax polish. The palate opened with fir wood resins and sappy tones, plus natural tar extracts, treacle, exotic fruit salad goo and vanilla crème brûlée. Some water revealed condensed milk, fruit liqueurs, green chartreuse, mineral oil, pink grapefruit and lightly spiced waxy tones. Pure class and just gorgeous!
