Tasting Notes

A typically fulsome and firm example of this left-field make. Initial notes of face cream, lemon drizzle cake, sun lotion, lanolin and malt syrup were all detected. Also things like buttered oatcakes, soda bread, crushed nettles and coconut water. A fun one, the panel agreed. With water we found orange oils, wee sooty notes, snapped green twigs, myrtle, sweet flapjacks and heather honey. The neat palate displayed an upfront hit of sanded pine wood, then sweetened olive oil, green peppercorns, lime curd, pink grapefruit and paprika. An even mix of the spicy and the sweet. With water it balanced out on coconut macaroons, sweetened herbal ointments, plum wine, camphor and flower nectar. Some dried banana chips, aniseed and green tea with lemon in the aftertaste.
