Tasting Notes
Classic refill wood profile we thought. Straight away we noted charming aromas of canvass satchel, pencil cases, bergamot, lanolin and plain buttered toast. Water brought out pressed flowers, samphire, young calvados and sandalwood with a kiss of pear cider. The palate opened with a deft lightness at first but gradually became warmer, spicier and showing notes of white pepper, stone fruits, cooking oils and soft dessert wines. With water we got a soft waxiness, snapped twigs, turmeric, light fudge and vanilla tablet notes then a left field hit of Bombay mix.
