Tasting Notes
A cavalcade of flambéed banana, bourbon biscuits, fudge, coffee with brown sugar, tea tree oil and menthol tobacco leaf. Superbly aromatic and dense with great complexity and depth. Water brought out fun notes of peanut satay, tarragon, rose syrup, peppermint tea and cherry bakewell tart. Still opulently fruity as well. The neat palate had flavours like banana liqueur and a texture to match. Also aniseed, chocolate orange and ginger beer with rum. Reduction evolved it towards fig syrup, young armagnac, sticky toffee pudding, hibiscus flower and lemon barley water. Matured for 17 years in a bourbon barrel before transfer to a 1st fill French oak Jamaican rum barrique.
