Tasting Notes

Marshmallows dipped in chocolate, cherry lips sweets, beeswax and juicy ripe strawberries marinated in prosecco were just some of the mouth-watering aromas mentioned. On the palate we were offered a giant red and white candy stick, passion fruit-flavoured jelly babies, plus crystallised brown sugar swizzle sticks. Water released the scent of tropical fruits including kumquats, lychees, papayas and pomegranates, yet it also reminded us of two drinks – one that apparently gives you wings and the other that gets you through. The taste, certainly something for the sweet-toothed, was silky smooth – with vanilla butterscotch ice cream topped by advocaat foam or stracciatella semifreddo.
