The aroma instantly transported us to warm sandy beaches and turquoise waters as we were served a tropical pina colada, a slushy frozen cocktail made with ripe pineapple, rich coconut flavours and plenty of golden rum. On the palate smooth and intense, deep, sweet and fruity with plenty of vanilla and coconut, hints of almond with marzipan and chocolate eclairs in the finish. A few drops of water added and the scent of delicate sweet perfume notes like lavender, honeysuckle and spearmint appeared. To taste a delight, vanilla chocolate cheesecake, caramel filled toffees, honey glazed walnuts and, in the finish, a refreshing tangerine sorbet.
