Tasting Notes
The nose burst and brimmed with luscious exotic fruits, juicy waxiness and resinous fir wood notes. We also got aged sweet wines, juicy fruit chewing gum and tropical fruit salad gloop. Water brought rich hints of coconut cream, pineapple rings in syrup, mango chunks, papaya and flower nectars. The palate was initially slightly drying, but also richly waxy and slightly mentholated. Then came the cavalcade of crystallised exotic fruits, fruit teas, menthol, camphor balm and mineral oil. Reduction made everything extremely fruity, delivering an abundance of fruit juices, flower nectars, runny honey, jasmine tea, dried herbal notes, citrus curds and pine wood. An amazing dram, we all agreed.
