A juicy and sweet initial aroma that included apple sours, lemon sherbet, flying saucer sweeties and rhubarb and custard. In time this evolved towards ripe green apples, pineapple juice, modelling glue and baked banana. With water we found sultanas, dried coconut, orange soda and hazelnut cream. The neat palate opened with a big kick of mixed spices, then sweet chilli sauce, spearmint gum and buttery cereals. Reduction brought warm, drying oak tones, dried papaya, desiccated coconut and wee notes of kumquat and chocolate orange.
