Tasting Notes

A curious but attractive nose – we discovered honeysuckle and herbs in a summer garden, tropical bubblegum, cherry Bakewell and Empire biscuits, golden syrup, lemon bonbons, fruit salad and mojitos. The palate was juicy, fruity and refreshing – pear slices, lemon barley water, raspberry ripple, cherry pie and Starburst; hints of oak and salted pineapple on the after-taste. The reduced nose offered banana fudge and Battenberg cake, candied peel and sherbet lemons and sunshine on polished wood. The palate combined pear juice and gooseberry with apricot Danish and rhubarb and custard sweets and then to finish – clove, nutmeg, cinnamon and tree bark.
