The Panel found a densely honeyed dram, one full of Juicy Fruit chewing gum, artificial sweeteners, heather honey, olive oil cake, toffee popcorn, muscovado sugar and white chocolate. A little water brought cream egg yolks, vanilla toffee, ripe pineapple and a deeply scented overall profile riddled with young dessert wines, custards and furniture polish. The mouth was surprisingly exotic with lemongrass, lime leaf, bamboo shoots and a ping of red chilli. Warm wood spices, tobacco leaf, eucalyptus bark and Chen Pi aged orange peels. Reduction brought freshness with white stone fruits, coconut syrup and a wealth of buzzing floral tones dripping with cherry blossom and frangipani. A naughty wee dram!
