Tasting Notes

We found a fresh, fruity and inviting nose of gooseberry, crushed oatcakes, marzipan and rose petals. Underscored by lemon posit, mothballs and watermelon. Water opened up toasted seed mix, soda bread, cornflakes and sweetened mascarpone. On the palate we found fruit pastilles, boiled lime sweets, rhubarb and custard and sunflower oil. With reduction this changed to cod liver oil, sunflower seeds and curious notes of flapjack, blue raspberry ice lolly, dried wildflowers and honey. A medium to long finish with an invigorating fruitiness in the aftertaste.
