Pineapples, pears and bitter citrus arrived enthusiastically before almonds and walnut oil prepared the nose for liquorice, cask char and leafy herbs. Green apples and mangos on the palate merged with banana and Turkish delight as herbal notes returned with mixed nuts, coconut husk and charred oak. A sweet fragrance emerged with water of honeysuckle, pear drops and parma violets before continuing the theme with strawberry jam, pineapple pastries and custard tarts dusted with cocoa. Zesty fruit flavours now embraced margarita cocktails, grapefruit and orange bitters while deeper notes of burnt caramel and hot chocolate powder lasted onto the waxy and leafy finish.
