The initial nose suggested pineapple dunked in molten fudge and sprinkled with desiccated coconut - not a little suggestive of Caramel Logs! Wonderfully fresh despite the dense fudgey notes. Some further whispers of rhubarb crumble, vanilla custard and mashed bananas. Reduction brought out grapefruit, zesty citrus rind, pine resin and freshly baked banana bread studded with chocolate bits. Some warm croissants and dried lavender. The palate seemed to detonate with blood orange, petrol and grenades of Earl Grey tea! Some subtle Thai green curry warmth and a thrillingly gloopy texture. Water brought grace cherries and fruit salad syrups, then pure juicy exotic fruits like pineapple chunks and ripe mango. Some lightly dusty chalk notes and a dollop of raspberry ice cream in the finish.
