Tasting Notes
Another whacky stop off in Campbeltown. We immediately noted funny things like smoked toothpaste, antiseptic, saltwater swimming pools, Guinea Pig runs littered with Rabbit food. Smouldering hay, goat cheese ash rind and hot trainers. Mad and very fun! With water it became slightly more classical with sheep wool oils, farmyard funk, horse sweat, lemon balm and dried mango wrapped in elastoplasts. The palate opened with smoked vinegar, pickling juices, cornichons and ointments. Some aniseed, bruised cooking apples and burnt gorse as well. Water brought out flambeed banana, preserved lemons, sardines in smoked olive oil and things like ink, iodine and herbal cough syrup.
