The Creators Collection is a new series that brings liquid storytelling to life, curated to create the ultimate whisky flights. Each release in our Creators Collection takes inspiration and imagination from the whisky makers, and creative collaborators, to celebrate unique flavour stories, presenting whisky as a creative work of art in beautifully designed one -of-a-kind bottles.

The SMWS Whisky Team selects the exceptional casks at the heart of each Creators Collection release. But the creation doesn’t stop there. Each collection is brought to life through a collaborative effort from across our HQ – including creative, content, innovation and marketing teams. From label artwork to storytelling and campaign direction, it’s a collective expression of creativity. In some cases – like Homecoming – we also bring in guest artists, but every element remains curated and led by the team at SMWS.

The Creators Collection: Peat Plants III

The Creators Collection: Peat Plants III is a sensory journey across Scotland’s West Coast. From Islay’s Atlantic coast to Campbeltown’s historic harbour, this is a deep dive into the realm of peated whisky. This is the stuff that fantasies are made of, from four iconic distilleries that showcase coastal smoke in all its forms – including the Society’s last remaining cask from distillery 27.

These four whiskies offer a remarkable diversity of flavour from maturation in four different cask types: refill bourbon, first fill American oak oloroso, first fill Spanish oak oloroso and an STR oloroso-seasoned barrique.

Elgin Marvels

These Elgin Marvels may come from the same town, but they tell two vastly different sides of the whisky creation story. At 33 and 37 years old, they are both graceful elder statesmen of Elgin, and are united not only by lengthy maturation but by their intense fruitiness.

But it’s in their maturation journeys that our Marvels have taken entirely different paths to what they have developed into today.
