A fruity sweetness of apricot and plum jam was followed by apple crumble with prickly mulled spices and a hint of tobacco. A lot of heat but quite sweet like a shot of spiced apple rum liqueur which reminded us of stewed apples with a big kick of cloves and cinnamon. After the addition of water, we were served banana pancakes with apple ice cream spiced with nutmeg, while on the palate now much sweeter, Chantilly cream with lime zest honeyed cashew nuts and orange shortbread. In the long finish the godfather of hookah tobacco double apple, as two spices, anise and liquorice, are used for flavouring.
