Tasting Notes
Warm and tempting, the nose opened with butter-rich croissant, honeyed pears and apples, and a gentle waft of laundered cotton. Sweet layers of raspberry reduction, caramel and beeswax intertwined with soft orange cake and distant church incense, evoking a village pâtisserie at dawn. The palate was silky and layered, marrying custard cream and buttery pastry with warm cinnamon and brandy butter. Vibrant notes of pineapple, mango and apricot jam mingled with mint and candied basil, while smoky sweetness, supple leather and flamed orange peel added depth and warmth. A touch of water revealed brine and linseed oil, oak shavings and burning candle wax, before settling on the palate in a satisfyingly tropical, creamy and gently spiced finish.
