Surprisingly mature for its age we all agreed. An initial flood of Juicy Fruit chewing gum, exotic bubble gums, vanilla custard slices, custard cream biscuits, pollen-heavy lilies, rosewater and sweet young Gewürztraminer. Reduction gave us the beery richness of heather ales and old-school schilling beers, alongside linens, sweet cough medicines and cardamom custard. The palate was wonderfully creamy, like rice pudding spiced with cinnamon. Warming winter spices, bay leaf, dried tarragon, hot toddy with extra lemon and a refreshing sharpness of grapefruit. Reduction brought coconut water, spiced condensed milk, sherbet lemons, milky chai tea and herbal chewing gum. Some menthol tobacco in the aftertaste.
