Tasting Notes
The fragrance of heather honey, lavender and carnations wafted through an old pine forest with sap-covered tree bark and green wood tannins. Herbal notes merged with soft fudge and marzipan before being covered with cocoa powder and fruit jelly sweets. The palate was spicy with bags of sweetness as sweet chilli sauce and ginger biscuits joined caramel and butterscotch before heavy oak tannins found coconut husk. Notes of aged rum emerged with water as banana skins and raisons became lost among pine needles and herbal tones that ventured into spearmint. Then dates, sultanas and dark chocolate emerged with earthy flavours of roasted sweet potatoes and parsnips in a forest of tall trees and green leaves.
