Tasting Notes
Red grapes were squashed under an avalanche of oranges, sugared almonds and a new truck tyre. Introducing this to our tongues delivered honeyed wild strawberries, plum, blackberry and a fleeting cinnamon spice. Indeed, with water this dram experienced orange amplification on the nose, joined too by toffee, anise and rubber once more. To the palate, its depth elevated plum, underpinned with marshmallow, milk chocolate, leather, dates and more cinnamon spice. After 10 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, we transferred this to a second fill oloroso hogshead for the remainder of its maturation.
