Tasting Notes
The primary aroma for us was that of white chocolate and raspberry ripple ice cream with a boozy berry sauce but there were also hints of wood polish, cloves, pepper and even a little wood smoke. On the palate like a well-aged rich Muscat wine; apricots, cherries and honey with a never-ending sweet spicy finish. With the addition of water we opened an antique wooden treasure chest which had lain on the bottom of the ocean for centuries, yet the taste remained very similar to the undiluted stage, just a tad tamer. After thirteen years in an ex-bourbon hogshead we transferred this whisky into a heavy charred new oak hogshead.
